How BookSteam saved me a lot of time
As a massage therapist I often find it difficult to manage the business side of my practice. I prefer to spend my time discovering the latest techniques and benefits of massage not paperwork and phone calls. The problem is there is a lot more to running an office then the things you enjoy (like helping people with their health) and I don’t have the money to hire office help. There have been days where I dread coming in.
But one morning, a client with a medical practice, began telling me about appointment scheduling software she had recently started using, called Booksteam. I was given a 30 day free trial and my account was up and running in no time at all.
Booksteam allowed me to set up my own appointment schedule, openings, meetings and various calendar events. It also helped me set up a super easy website so that my customers could create their own appointments online without needing me to do it for them. Customers can also cancel or re-schedule their appointment online, without calling me in the middle of the night.
Two days later I started trying it on my massage therapy customers. When a client finished her appointment I gave her a card printed with my website. I told her to go ahead and book her next appointments using her smartphone, computer, tablet or whatever internet based device she had at home. I also offered 10% off to anyone who booked their own appointment and pre-paid with credit card using the Booksteam system. BOOM! We were off and running.
In the last 2 months Booksteam has become my “virtual assistant.” It takes appointments, payments, sends reminders and allows me to easily access all of the data from my smartphone as I work. Personally, after using it for a while I could not live without Booksteam anymore. It has changed my massage therapist business for the better. I save literally hours a week and you know what? I like coming to work again.
