Many parents start potty training their kids not even realizing how frustrating it can be. Luckily, you aren’t alone. I would like to share five “real-life” tips to help you overcome common problems.
– Don’t go anywhere without a potty. Although it is more convenient and easier to potty training your kid at your home, you simply cannot stay there all the time. Keeping the portable potty in your car is the solution to this problem. These potties are great when you go on a road trip or spend a few hours outdoors.
– Show them what is in their diaper. Yes, toddlers are cute and adorable, but cleaning up their poops is not charming at all. So, let your kids see it with their eyes. Maybe then they’ll realize their mess is too big for diapers and that it should go in the toilet.
– Timing is important. So, all your kid’s peers are using potty, whereas he or she is still peeing in a diaper? So what? Wait until your little one is ready. If your son is refusing to even sit on a potty, put it away for a few weeks then try again.
– Show them an example. Despite the fact that some parents really do their best to show their child exactly what to do, their beloved toddler is still not into it. One way to overcome this obstacle is to show the kids how their friends or older siblings do that. Kids tend to copy what their cool peers and siblings do, so try to inspire them this way.
– Try with an adapted seat. Some kids don’t want to do the work on a potty, but where they parents do it. So, buy an adapted seat and see if that’s more alluring to your toddler.
